Ferrari's Felipe Massa set the fastest time of anyone this week to top the timesheets on the final day of testing at Barcelona.

Mark Webber's Red Bull had occupied the top spot for most of the day, but with 30 minutes remaining Massa put together a very quick lap to go 0.817 seconds quicker. The Ferrari driver had been evaluating a variety of different Pirelli tyre compounds over the course of the day, mostly on longer runs, but opted for a series of lower-fuel blasts before the chequered flag came out.

Sebastien Buemi's quick time from the morning was enough to hang on to third fastest, ahead of Nick Heidfeld, whose Renault recovered from a KERS problem to complete a race distance in the afternoon.

It was a good day for Lewis Hamilton, who, for the first time in the new McLaren, clocked up over 100 laps in a single day. He set the fifth fastest time as the team continued to focus on the car's reliability before it introduces a number of updates at the next test.

Another team waiting on big improvements is Mercedes, and after Nico Rosberg's headline time on Sunday, Michael Schumacher could only manage tenth fastest. He completed 114 laps until the W02 came to a halt on the circuit with 15 minutes remaining and brought out a red flag.

Jarno Trulli and Lotus completed just 18 laps before a failure on the car pitched the Italian into the barriers at turn nine. Without enough spares to repair the car fully, the team decided to pack up and head back to Norfolk where the T128 will be repaired in time for the next test.

Monday's running wrapped up the four-day test with F1's next destination still up in the air after confirmation that the Bahrain test has been cancelled and the grand prix postponed.
