Nico Hulkenberg described his sixth place in the Korean Grand Prix as "a mega result" after holding off race-long pressure from Romain Grosjean.

Having started from eighth place, Hulkenberg beat Grosjean out of turn two and then held off the Lotus for much of the race. Having fallen behind at one point Hulkenberg took advantage of a struggling Lewis Hamilton to overtake both drivers and he described his race as "entertaining" as he scored eight points.

"That race was a lot of fun and it's great to get such a mega result," Hulkenberg said. "Not an easy race though, I had the Lotus pushing me hard for quite a while and then a nice fight with Romain generally and even before we caught Lewis. Then with Lewis a bit more salsa in the soup so quite entertaining."

Describing his overtaking manoeuvre which saw him overtake both Grosjean and Hamilton in one go, Hulkenberg said he was just making the most of an opportunity.

"It just came spontaneously. Going down to turn three we both had DRS on - Romain and I on Lewis - then going down the other straight I still had some KERS to close the gap and choose the outside line where you normally brake. The other two guys decided for the inner line and that way I was able to make the move and an opportunity came up which I used."
