Ferrari insists Felipe Massa still has its full support despite the Brazilian reaching a new low this season by spinning out of the German Grand Prix.

Massa has scored just 12 points from the last four races with at least one high-profile spin or accident at each race weekend. He is without a contract for next year and with Ferrari slipping to third in the constructors' over the last two weekends his lack of form is starting to be noticed.

Massa spun out of the race at the Nurburgring and then stalled after his car got stuck in fifth gear as he tried to rejoin the track. Despite the driver error, team principal Stefano Domenicali insists the Brazilian still has the full support of the team.

"I've always said that I have a lot of confidence in him, but this is a very tough and very critical moment and for sure he is the first to be very disappointed with where we are," Domenicali said.

"But the only thing is to stay behind him and work close with him because we need him to make sure we are fighting for the constructors'. The others are very close but he will feel the team is close to him 100%."
