- Second Bahrain Test - Day Three
Raikkonen was hoping for more from final day
Kimi Raikkonen was hoping for a better final day of pre-season testing in the Ferrari on Saturday, but still managed to complete a race simulation by the end of the day.
Raikkonen was kept in the garage for much of the morning due to a faulty connector on the car that took a long time to rectify. He had a total of 87 laps by the end of the day, but was hoping for a smoother final test session to round his pre-season off.
"I'd hoped to do more laps, but this wasn't an easy day," Raikkonen said. "We lost some time this morning when we had to fix something on the car, but then we managed to make up for some of it in the afternoon.
"Running a race distance, we continued to get more data relating to fuel consumption strategies and tyre degradation, even though the strong wind upset the driving a lot. I'd like to be able to say we did better, but there's still one more day with Fernando [Alonso] to continue our preparation for Melbourne."
