'No point in being too emotional' - Vettel
Following a day in which he failed to complete a full lap, Sebastian Vettel said there is no point in getting upset about Red Bull's lack of progress.
Vettel made it as far as Turn Four before his car came to a halt at the side of the track on his installation lap and on his second attempt only made it to the end of the pit lane. A mechanical problem in the afternoon meant the team could not return to the track and Vettel now heads into his final day of pre-season testing with just 85 laps behind the wheel of the RB10.
"We thought we would be in a much better place this week compared to last week and it hasn't really been the case," he said. "There is no point in being too emotional at this stage. We have to take it step by step.
"The biggest problem we had [today] is that we did an installation lap and didn't come back. We figured out that we had a problem with the battery and we had to change it. No matter what you have to change on these cars it takes a long time, so that was quite a lot of downtime. Once we were ready to get going in the afternoon we had a mechanical failure that didn't allow us to go out again."
Team-mate Daniel Ricciardo put in some eye-catching times during a 20-lap stint on Friday, but Vettel says he has not had enough track time to make a judgement on the car.
"Usually the big question is about how strong you are in terms of how competitive the car is, but we have no answer on that," he said. "We don't know ourselves how good the car is yet and simply we have not done enough running. I think the little running we've had has been quite promising."
