Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson believes that Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal can still win the Premier League, despite making such a slow start to the season.

United have handed out thrashings to both of the north London sides so far this season, beating Tottenham 3-0 and then, less than a week later, thumping Arsenal 8-2 at Old Trafford.

Both clubs have strengthened since those fixtures - Spurs signing Scott Parker and Emmanuel Adebayor, Arsenal capturing several experienced players - and Ferguson believes that the rivals can still lift the title in May.

"You can say five or six teams will be up there. It's always hard to win the league … you've got Tottenham, Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea, ourselves, City - it's a really difficult league to win," Ferguson told Sky Sports.

Manchester United are away at Bolton this weekend, while Arsenal host Swansea and Tottenham travel to Wolves.
