Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas has moved to quell speculation surrounding Fernando Torres, insisting the forward is not for sale at any price.

Torres joined Chelsea last January in a £50 million deal from Liverpool but he has shown only patches of positive form.

He looked in good touch earlier this season, but has been restricted to a bit-part role since being sent off against Swansea on September 24.

Reports this week suggested Chelsea were prepared to cut their losses, with it being claimed they would accept offers in the region of £20m.

But with Didier Drogba set to head to the African Cup of Nations at the start of 2012, Torres is likely to get his chance and Villas-Boas has insisted any offer would not be entertained by the club.

Ahead of his side's clash with Wigan at the weekend, Villas-Boas said: "Fernando Torres is not for sale at any price, now or in the summer."
