No room at Arsenal for Gourcuff, says Wenger

Arsene Wenger has dismissed reports linking Arsenal with a loan move for Lyon midfielder Yoann Gourcuff.
French playmaker Gourcuff has been heavily linked with Arsenal in recent months and Lyon chairman Jean-Michel Aulas has previously claimed the Premier League club attempted to sign the 27-year-old in the summer.
However, Wenger insists he is not looking to strengthen his team's midfield. Asked about a possible loan deal, the Arsenal boss said: "No. In midfield I have Wilshere and Diaby, who will be back, and that would mean a lot of players."
Wenger will continue to monitor Gourcuff's progress and predicts a return to top form for the Lyon star.
"He has been out for four or five months and what happens to him now is normal. He's played his first few games only on his desire and, after an injury, it's normal to have a dip," Wenger said.
"However I see a positive future for [Gourcuff]. I think he will come back to his best level."
