Chelsea & City pursuing Maicon

Manchester City and Chelsea are keeping tabs on Inter Milan defender Maicon, according to the player's agent.
Maicon, 31, is considered one of the world's best full-backs, and won the Champions League at Inter Milan in 2010 under Jose Mourinho.
Chelsea are said to be close to a deal for Marseille right-back Cesar Azpilicueta, having lost Jose Bosingwa this summer, but Maicon's apparent availability could alter the situation.
However, City boss Roberto Mancini, who worked with Maicon at Inter for two years, could also be poised to pounce, with Micah Richards facing a spell on the sidelines.
Roberto Calenda, Maicon's agent, told calciomercato.com: "There is interest from Manchester City, Real Madrid and Chelsea in the player, while there are no possibilities that he goes to AC Milan and Juventus. But the player could also stay at Inter."
