Saido Berahino has indicated he would love to travel with England to the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, even if he did not play at the event.

Berahino scored twice for the Under-21 side against Finland on Thursday, under the watchful eye of senior manager Roy Hodgson. The West Brom striker has now netted six goals in four games for Gareth Southgate's side.

The youngster has enjoyed a great start to the season for Albion, which included scoring the winning goal in his side's victory over Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Despite keeping his feet firmly on the ground, Berahino would relish the chance to travel with Hodgson's squad as a "tourist", believing the experience of a senior World Cup camp would be an opportunity too good to miss.

"I have had a taste of the World Cup with the Under-20s and I would love to have that again,"Berahino told the Daily Mail. "It's a great feeling for any player at any level.

"If the call were to come, it would be a great learning experience for me, even if I was to go there basically as a tourist.

"Being around the seniors and all the players that have done it before, you would learn a lot just from that. But I am just trying to enjoy my football and help the team. Things are going well."

Berahino has attracted the interest of Chelsea, Arsenal and Everton, who are all thought to be keeping a close eye on the player as talks over a renewed contract at Albion have reportedly stalled.
