Could Pogba or Vidal solve United's problems?

David Moyes will have a struggle on his hands to attempt to sign Juventus pair Paul Pogba and Arturo Vidal after watching the players in action during the weekend.

The Manchester United manager was in the stands on Sunday to see the Serie A leaders come from a goal down to defeat Cagliari 4-1, and Moyes met Juventus administrator Beppe Marotta after the game to discuss the possibility of signing one or both of Pogba or Vidal, according to the Daily Mail.

However, Pogba, who left United in 2012 for free to join Juventus, is happy to remain at the club, and Marotta is quoted as saying they will not sell one of their key players. If Pogba was to depart, he is believed to favour a switch to Paris Saint-Germain.

And on Vidal, it is understood he will not depart during the January transfer window, but could be open to a move during the summer. Moyes was also monitoring Claudio Marchisio.

The Daily Mail also reports that Moyes has attempted to offer Nani as bait for one of the players, but Juventus are believed to be put off by the £16-18 million asking price, and the fact Nani is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury.
