Barca take control in Manchester

Luis Suarez has demanded that the real Barcelona turn up to finish the job against Manchester City in the second leg of their Champions League tie at the Nou Camp.

The La Liga side will take a 2-1 lead into the match after Tuesday's first meeting at the Etihad Stadium, with Suarez scoring both of his side's goals.

"The tie remains very open," said Suarez. "We are aware that it is going to be a difficult game, but we will go out to play at the Nou Camp.

"We must show that we are Barca playing at home. We know we will be playing at home, and must show who we are."

Suarez scored just once in six games against City during his time at Liverpool, but had two inside the opening 31 minutes as the visitors completely controlled the opening half.

City improved after the break and Sergio Aguero pulled one back, however the English champions seemed completely out of the tie after left-back Gael Clichy had been sent off for two yellow cards.

Barcelona's advantage could have been bigger going into the Nou Camp with Lionel Messi awarded a penalty in added time, but his spot kick was saved by City keeper Joe Hart, before the Argentine headed the rebound wide.

"Sometimes penalties are missed," added Suarez. "We would have liked a bigger lead.

"In the first half we had a lot of chances, and we could have scored more goals. In the second half they began stronger, and the goal put them back in the game.

"But we know that Manchester City are a great team with a lot of potential, and that they could make it difficult for us. They reacted and it was difficult."

Suarez was booed at times by City fans, following a controversial three and a half years in the Premier League, but he still enjoyed his return to England.

"It is always special to play these type of games," he said. "Even more for the years when I was a Liverpool player, and was in England."
