Gudjohnsen seals Tottenham move

Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has confirmed that forward Eidur Gudjohnsen has joined the club on loan from Monaco until the end of the season.
Gudjohnsen, who previously played in the Premier League with Bolton and Chelsea, joined Monaco in the summer after three years at Barcelona, but has failed to make an impact in Ligue 1.
Gudjohnsen had also attracted attention from West Ham, but Redknapp confirmed the 31-year-old preferred a switch to White Hart Lane and he completed a medical on Thursday.
Redknapp said: "He's a player I've always admired. He can play several positions and is a very clever footballer. It was his decision to come to us. I rang him and left a message on his phone and he came back to me and said I want to come to Tottenham. He gives us lots of options. He is a top player."
The move has fuelled speculation that Roman Pavlyuchenko will leave the club but, while Redknapp has confirmed Spurs are in talks with Birmingham over a deal, he said: "We're not keen to sell him. We're happy with him. Technically he's a terrific player.''
