Liverpool have £4 million bid for Adam rejected

Liverpool have failed with a £4 million bid for Blackpool playmaker Charlie Adam.
The Seasiders talisman is being sought by a host of Premier League clubs, with Aston Villa having already had two offers for the 25-year-old rejected.
Liverpool's offer, which is the highest bid yet for Adam, was similarly turned down by the Tangerines, who are desperate to keep hold of their prized asset.
Villa improved their initial offer for Adam to £3.5 million earlier this month but on Thursday, Blackpool manager Ian Holloway said that the midfielder is worth a staggering £46 million.
The Lancashire club do not want to lose Adam but Holloway has stated that should a suitable offer from a top-six club come in for the player, he would be prepared to sell the Scotland international.
