Karun Chandhok insists that he is "not disappointed" at being overlooked by Force India for the F1 young driver test at Jerez next week.

The team revealed yesterday that DTM driver Paul di Resta and reigning Indy Lights Champion J.R. Hildebrand will get behind the wheel of the much-improved VJM02 in southern Spain next month.

GP2 Series race-winner Chandhok and former A1GP champion Neel Jani were touted as the two men most likely to be given a chance to prove their worth.

Despite Force India team principal Vijay Mallya keen to have an Indian driver on board, he has also stressed that this will not come at a cost of talent. But Chandhok says he is not upset by the team's decision.

"We talked about it and I expressed my ambitions to do something with Force India," he said, "but they opted to go with other drivers. That's their decision, but I'm not disappointed."
