Third driver Jules Bianchi will get track time for Force India in the VJM05 at the Mugello test next week.

Having only taken part in one Friday free practice session so far this season - completing just eight laps in wet conditions in China - Bianchi will open the test for Force India on Tuesday. It will be his second test appearance for the team after he also drove at the first pre-season test in Jerez, ending his running prematurely with a spin in to the gravel.

With Bianchi driving on the Tuesday, Paul di Resta and Nico Hulkenberg are both left with a day each in the car. Di Resta will drive on Wednesday before Hulkenberg concludes the running on Thursday.

Force India is focusing on the Mugello test to bring a major update to its car having started the season slightly off the pace of some of the other midfield runners such as Sauber and Williams. Deputy team principal Bob Fernley said after the Malaysian Grand Prix: ""I am hoping that Mugello puts us where we would have liked to have been for the start of the season."
