With no less than six German drivers on the Formula One grid, the 2010 German Grand Prix at Hockenheim will be one of the most eagerly anticipated ever for home fans.

Seven time world champion Michael Schumacher and current national hero Sebastian Vettel are likely to command most of the fans' attention over the grand prix weekend but the other four drivers will also enjoy their fair share of support.

According to Williams driver Nico Hulkenberg, there is nothing quite like the 'buzz' of a home race.

"Racing in front of a home crowd is a different experience to going to any other Grand Prix. I know that the German fans are really looking forward to their race and they'll create a really buzzing atmosphere," said Hulkenberg, who won twice at Hockenheim in the 2005 in the Formula BMW-ADAC series. "Everything will be a little more focused on the German drivers, so it will be a busy weekend."

Virgin Racing's Timo Glock, who lives only 30 minutes from the famous Hockenheim circuit, thinks that having six German drivers on the grid will add to the sense of occasion.

"As always, I'm really looking forward to my home Grand Prix at Hockenheim, which is around 30 minutes from my front door, so it really is a home race for me," said Glock. "It is especially good that this race comes just two weeks after the team's home debut at Silverstone, so this will be the second race in a row where we will have experienced a lot of support from the fans and this always helps to boost everyone just that little bit more.

"With so many German drivers competing in F1 this year - six in total - the feeling we will get from the crowd will be incredible I'm sure."

Adrian Sutil, who has won at Hockenheim in junior Formulae, said it was a dream come true to race at Hockenheim in Formula One after he visited the circuit when he was young.

"I feel like it's the second home race in a row as Silverstone is the team's base and now we're going to Hockenheim, which has a special meaning for me, of course," said Sutil. "It was actually the first track I ever saw; I visited it on the way to see some family and just sat there, dreaming of what it could be like when I got to F1. To come back now, having achieved that aim, is just magic."
