Bruno Senna is confident of keeping his racing seat at HRT for the remainder of the season after regaining his drive for the German Grand Prix in place of Karun Chandhok.

Sakon Yamamoto replaced Senna for the British Grand Prix weekend although the exact reason for the switch remains uncertain.

The Hispania team issued a statement explaining that it simply wanted to give Yamamoto, who reportedly brings $5 million in sponsorship backing, an 'opportunity' to drive at the British Grand Prix.

Although Chandhok said he expects to be back for further races this season, Senna said he now hopes to race until the end of the year.

"I always want to be racing. I always want to be in the car, so losing a car out of 18 is always tough, but the important thing is that I'm back for the rest of the season," said Senna at Hockenheim on Thursday. "Of course I was not happy to not drive, but it's a team decision.

"There's nothing guaranteed in life. I hope I'll be racing until the end of the year. It's fixed but nothing is guaranteed in life. You have a job today but you may not have it tomorrow. The important thing for me is that I have a seat for next year. This is what I'm aiming for."
