Romain Grosjean thinks anything is possible from third on the grid at the Hungarain Grand Prix but said the key to a good result will be tyre strategy.

Grosjean took third on the grid behind Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel after showing impressive pace throughout the weekend. The Lotus tends to be stronger in race trim and excels in hot conditions so Grosjean is hopeful of a strong result.

"Lewis set a very quick time, but we're not too far from Sebastian and anything could happen in the race depending on the tyres," he said. "The race is very long tomorrow and it's hot so we will see what we can do to get the best result. I think tomorrow will be very open and a lot will depend on strategy, traffic and things like that, so if we can put everything together there's the strong possibility for a good result."

Grosjean said things had been progressing well this weekend.

"It has been a good weekend so far and I have been working pretty hard with the team to try and get the best from the car. Our last lap was a pretty good lap and was not missing much to get further ahead. Those guys [Vettel and Hamilton] were pretty quick so it's good to be here."
