Sebastian Vettel admits Mark Webber could turn out to be a major threat for race victory in tomorrow's Indian Grand Prix.

While Vettel starts from pole position once again, he will start on soft tyres which have been very fragile throughout the weekend so far. The two Mercedes cars behind Vettel also start on softs, but Webber is the first driver on medium tyres in fourth place.

Vettel only needs to finish in the top five to take the title, but he said his focus remains on trying to win the race and that Webber's strategy could lead to him being the favourite.

"I'm trying not to think about [the title], but obviously it's difficult when every second person in the paddock asks you the same question!" Vettel said. "I think we've done pretty well in the past focusing on every single step and I don't see a reason to change things for tomorrow or the next couple of races. We're in a good position; we worked hard to be there and tomorrow is a long race. I think it will be tricky to always do the right thing but there are a lot of laps and I think we have a quick package, so we should be in good shape tomorrow.

"I have to start on the different tyre [to Webber] so obviously the strategy is different. It's all difficult now, it's very interesting and surely not easy. I think in the end if everybody does their bit then it probably doesn't matter too much but the race will be different in the beginning if you start on the opposite tyre. So for us three it's the same thing but obviously Mark is the first man on primes with a different strategy."

Having topped the timesheets in every session so far this weekend, Vettel admitted his car had been close to perfect throughout.

"So far it's a brilliant weekend. The car was basically very well since yesterday morning; we didn't have to change a lot and through qualifying it just got better when the track ramped up with new tyres again and again. It's a great circuit, I really like the flow of the track, especially around the middle sector around the high-speed corners. But then it's no secret if your car behaves the way you want it to through there then for sure you're going to enjoy that a lot. It's a great result for the team. Obviously Mark is on a different strategy so we'll see what the race brings tomorrow."
