'It's the team's day' - Webber

Mark Webber said Red Bull has had a "phenomenal year" but admitted he was disappointed not to finish second in the Korean Grand Prix.

By outscoring McLaren, Red Bull managed to secure the constructors' world championship to go with Sebastian Vettel's drivers' championship from a week ago. It was Red Bull's second consecutive title, and with Webber finishing third, he said that it wasn't about his personal result but congratulated the team for its achievements.

"It's the team's day today," Webber said. "The constructors is a massive thing, back-to-back is very impressive from the guys and the girls. Renault as well, reliability was faultless this year from the car. 100% from everyone there, with the exception of my non-finish at Monza. So it's been a phenomenal year."

Webber started fourth and after a disappointing opening stint he managed to jump both Ferraris in to third place. However, he was unable to find a way past Lewis Hamilton and pitted for the final time on the same lap, something which he says was a mistake.

"Disappointed not to get second today, we did a good job in the first stop and then got ourselves in to a good position. Obviously the safety car was not a big deal for everyone I don't think, it just brought everyone back together. But I think at the second stop we did the worst thing; we didn't stop before or after, we stopped on the same lap. So that was disappointing because clearly we had some good pace to pull away from Lewis, but in the end it was a good battle all the way through, I had a good battle on the first lap as well and that's the way it was today, so I'll look forward to the next one."
