Lewis Hamilton is hoping title rival Nico Rosberg sticks by Mercedes' on-track ground rules at the final race of the season in Abu Dhabi.

Hamilton's 17-point lead in the championship means he needs to finish second at Sunday's Abu Dhabi Grand Prix to secure his second world title. The dominant Mercedes team has taken 11 one-two victories this year, putting Hamilton in a strong position, but the last time he did not finish in the top two was at the Belgian Grand Prix when Rosberg clattered into him early in the race.

After Belgium, Mercedes held a team meeting to ensure a repeat collision would not occur and Hamilton is hoping that will be enough to avoid a repeat under the pressure of the final race.

"It has already been discussed at the beginning of the season and several times through the season, and particularly after Spa," he said. "There's no need to revisit it [this weekend], we are not children and we should know what's wrong and what's right."

Despite Hamilton not needing to win this weekend, he is still eyeing a victory above all else.

"I come into the race weekend to try to win, as I do every race weekend, so nothing changes there," he said. "And in terms of the pressure, I don't particularly feel any. I think I've had plenty of experience through my racing career - 15 odd years I would say, actually it might be 20 years of racing - to be prepared for today. There's no special recipe for it."
