Brawn GP and German consumer goods company Henkel have settled a dispute over a sponsorship deal.

Earlier this month Henkel announced it would not be honouring a deal with the team, as it was brokered by an unauthorised member of staff. Henkel maintained it did not have a deal, and said it had informed Brawn in September that this was the case.

Brawn, now under Mercedes ownership, said on Tuesday that the dispute had been settled by "mutual agreement".

"All potential claims will be dropped. As a consequence, all court proceedings will be withdrawn," the team said. "The new team Mercedes GP Petronas, together with the colleagues from the former Formula One Team Brawn GP, will continue to cooperate with the prosecutor's office and assist in the further clarification of the matter."
