Harrison in talks with Haye & Klitschkos - Promoter

Audley Harrison is in discussions with David Haye and the Klitschko brothers about a world heavyweight title shot later in the year, according to his promoter Eddie Hearn.

Harrison has vacated his European strap in order to pursue the division's greatest prize, although he cannot step into the ring before October after undergoing shoulder surgery.

The negotiations represent the latest chapter in the story of Harrison's remarkable renaissance - he salvaged his career with a knockout blow in the final round of his most recent fight against Michael Sprott.

Before that bout for the European belt, Harrison said that he would retire from the sport if he slumped to defeat.

He snatched a last-gasp triumph and is now set to face off against the division's most fearsome operators - between them, the Klitschkos hold every heavyweight title in the division apart from Haye's WBA championship.

"We are in discussions with the Klitschkos and Adam Booth and David Haye regarding a world title shot later this year," Hearn said.

Harrison would relish the opportunity to face off against Haye, who he has aimed a series of verbal blows at in recent months. "I'm told by my promoters that both David Haye and the Klitschko brothers have expressed an interest in facing me when I return after rehab," Harrison said.

"As I said before David Haye is a false prophet, one punch on that chin and it will shatter like glass. If I was him, I'd keep running from the Klitschkos and keep beating up on shop-worn American heavyweights."
