Sebastian Vettel has played down renewed speculation he is eyeing up a Ferrari drive in the near future.

The rumours re-emerged this week when Italian reports quoted the Red Bull driver as saying he dreams of driving for Ferrari. But although his current team boss Christian Horner insists his drivers are free to express themselves to the media, Vettel has now returned his focus to his existing employer in an interview with Sport Bild.

"There is no reason for me to go elsewhere," he said.

Vettel added that pre-season testing had reaffirmed his commitment to Red Bull: "The blue of my car was shining particularly nicely; I could see the No. 1; I thought to myself 'Boy, life is good!'"

He said he simply wants the fastest car available to him. "You think about how to get the best possible package. And I feel very good with Red Bull."

Horner told ESPNF1 this week: "Sebastian has been with the Red Bull family a long time now, since his karting career, and we've achieved a great deal together. I'm hopeful that will continue for many years."
