Webber plays down Red Bull's upgrades
Mark Webber has played down the impact of Red Bull's new update package and insists the team still has work to do to get the best from the car.
On Saturday morning Webber rolled out of the Red Bull garage in what looked like a heavily-revised version of the RB8, with a reconfigured exhaust and a new front wing. Webber said more would be added to the brand new chassis at the final day of testing on Sunday, but insisted the changes weren't a big deal.
"We've made a few changes but it's not massively different," Webber said. "We got through our programme but there are a few more things to come tomorrow but nothing drastic.
"We have work to do still. Coming from last year's regulations it's normal that the cars are very, very different. There's always areas to improve and that's what we've got to do."
Red Bull has won back-to-back championships over the last two years, but Webber said he is not underestimating his rivals.
"There are some very fast teams, no question about it," he added. "There are a lot of teams that have done a very good job and also in different ways. We see some different top speeds going on as well, different people are doing different jobs and they are all to be respected. We know where we are, but clearly we'll remain focused and we're not getting too excited about anything, because that's not the case."
Asked if any teams looked particularly quick, Webber said: "I think McLaren look very strong. Some of the other times done by the other teams look pretty handy too. Obviously we've seen some good times from Romain [Grosjean in the Lotus], Kimi [Raikkonen] didn't have much of a run at it today.
"There's a mystery a bit over at Ferrari. Also Nico [Rosberg] seems to be going very fast in the Mercedes. I think Nico is very quick and the Mercedes is very fast. Those guys certainly seem very strong."
