Robert Kubica says he will make a decision on his Formula One future 'very soon' after admitting in Valencia that he was still undecided about who he will drive for next season.

The in-demand Pole had been linked with a move to Ferrari before Felipe Massa extended his deal with the Maranello team and latest speculation links the Renault driver to a seat at Mercedes GP.

Kubica has enjoyed an impressive season at Renault, who have made no secret of the fact that they want to tie Kubica up to a long-term deal. But Kubica said he was still unsure about where his future lies.

"I don't know. I haven't made my decision yet. I am not the kind of person who thinks in three years' time, I am not the kind of person who is thinking in three weeks' time, to be honest. When people started talking in March or April about 2011, I was not even thinking about it.

"What the future will bring we will see. I believe that every single person, everything, has its own time, so timing is very important. But I don't think you have to stress the timing too much. Very soon I will have to take my own decisions and then we will see."

Perhaps the most likely scenario is for Kubica to commit to Renault, especially if the team continues to progress as quickly as it has done so far this season under its new ownership.

"Always you hope for more progress, but I think we are doing a reasonable job with improving the car. Actually I think we start the season very well, so we did have really good grands prix, good weekends. We are able until now to qualifying in the top ten with every GP, which is a reasonable target, a good target before the season.

"We have to keep realistic, keep our feet on the ground and keep working. If we continue working in the right direction we can grow up and move forward."
