Charles Pic has been handed a 20 second time penalty for tomorrow's Singapore Grand Prix after overtaking under red flags in FP3.

With the final practice session having been brought to a premature end by Vitaly Petrov's accident at turn 21, Pic was adjudged to have passed four red flags before overtaking another car, with the FIA deeming it worthy of a 20 second time penalty which will be added to his overall race time after the grand prix.

Pic and his race engineer have also been handed a 'Community Service' punishment which will require them to both attend one day of the FIA's Action for Road Safety campaign at the request of the FIA president Jean Todt.
