Front wing damage hampers Grosjean

Romain Grosjean revealed that his race was hampered by some front wing damage and cooler temperatures during the Spanish Grand Prix.
Having started third, Grosjean had a poor start to be fifth at the end of the first lap. It transpired that he made contact with Sergio Perez in turn two, giving the Sauber a puncture and damaging his own front wing. Grosjean admitted that the start had hurt his race but said the final result was a good one for Lotus.
"We lost position at the start and with it a bit of front wing too," Grosjean said. "It was cooler today which didn't suit us so much. Despite this, I am very happy with P4 especially when you look at yesterday where I missed all of the final practice session. Both cars finishing strongly in the points is great for the team."
There was later contact with Bruno Senna which damaged the other side of Grosjean's front wing, but he praised the team for helping restore the balance and delivering a strong finish for the two cars.
"It was pretty difficult for me at the start of the race as it was hard to get the front working properly with the wing damaged, but we made some changes and at the end of the race the car was really flying. I think we made the right decisions today; if you told us we could finish third and fourth at the beginning of the weekend we'd have taken it."
