Kim Clijsters was in blistering form as she bulldozed past Israeli Shahar Peer 6-0 6-1 at the Sony Ericsson Open in Miami.

The former world No. 1 lost just 11 points on her serve as she wrapped up victory in 50 minutes to seal her place in the fourth round. She is in ominous form, having dropped just three games in two matches as she looks to win her second title in Miami, five years after the first one. Clijsters will meet Victoria Azarenka in the last 16.

Clijsters said afterwards: "Shahar isn't a player who is going to hit you off the court. She takes the ball very early and doesn't usually make a lot of errors, but I felt I was in control of a lot of the points. I was able to move her from side to side until I felt I could take a couple steps in and go for the winner."

Justine Henin was also in dominant form as she sealed her place in the fourth round with a 6-4 6-4 victory over Slovakia's Dominika Cibulkova.

She will now face No. 11 seed Vera Zvonareva for a place in the quarter-finals after the Russian's 6-2 6-3 victory over Sara Errani.

Henin said: "I was in trouble in the beginning of both sets, but I ended up doing what I had to do. Dominika plays with a good rhythm and played very well. She runs a lot, has a very good backhand and is a real fighter - she has a strong personality. It wasn't easy today."

World No.2 Caroline Wozniacki came back from the edge of oblivion to win 1-6 6-1 6-4 at the expense of a gallant Maria Kirilenko.

Wozniacki now holds a 5-0 record over Kirilenko, and perhaps she let complacency slip into her game as she was utterly dominated in the first set. In a sign of maturity belying her tender age, the 19-year-old was able to spark herself into action and she grabbed the second set in quick time. Kirilenko didn't go away and she cancelled out an early break by the Dane in the decider, but Wozniacki broke again to wrap up the two-hour, 24-minute marathon.

Seventh-seed Jelena Jankovic had to work hard to get past Elena Vesnina, surviving two breaks of serve to come out a 7-6 6-3 winner. Like Wozniacki, that took Jankovic to a 5-0 career tally over her opponent.

Victoria Azarenka had a far easier time of it, the fourth-seed eliminating Lucie Safarova 6-4 6-2. Azarenka won 28 out of 30 points when her first serve landed in, while Safarova was pressured into six double faults by the Belarusian's total dominance of her second serve.

Ninth seed Sam Stosur recovered from a first-set wobble to beat Virginie Razzano 4-6 7-5 6-1 and move through to the fourth round where she will face Jankovic.

The day's upset, albeit a fairly minor one, came as Francesca Schiavone succumbed to Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova, a player ranked 18 places further down the ladder. Pavlyuchenkova jumped all over the Italian's serve, grabbing six breaks in a 7-5 6-3 triumph. Next up for Pavlyuchenkova is Wozniacki.
