Lisa Whybourn, Britain's last remaining hope in Wimbledon qualifying in both the women's and men's section, saw her hopes of making it through to the main draw for the event come to an end on Wednesday.

Whybourn, who reached the third qualifying round in 2010, went a set up against Sesil Karatantcheva but was pegged back before finally losing out to the Kazakhstani 5-7 6-4 6-0.

Her defeat followed a largely disappointing Tuesday for Britain's qualifiers in which nine of Whybourn's compatriots were eliminated from qualifying.

The Wimbledon seedings were announced on Wednesday, with Andy Murray seeded fourth in the men's draw. Novak Djokovic and Maria Sharapova top the respective lists.
