Wozniacki withdraws from Warsaw Open

Caroline Wozniacki has pulled out of the Warsaw Open due to injury, casting doubt over her participation at next week's French Open.
The world No. 3 called an end to her quarter-final against Jie Zheng at the end of the first set, which she lost 6-3. She had requested attention from the trainer during the opening stanza.
Wozniacki has been troubled by an ankle injury of late, going some way to explain her recent dip in form - the quarter-final in Warsaw was the first time she had reached the last eight in four tournaments.
The 19-year-old retired from the Family Circle Cup at the semi-final stage in April, having turned her ankle as she lunged towards the ball.
Kim Clijsters has already announced that injury has prevented her from participating in the Roland Garros tournament, which starts on May 23.
