No.3 seed Na Li breezed into the semi-finals of the Warsaw Open with an emphatic 6-2 6-1 win over Sara Errani.

Li, who became China's first player to break into the top 10 of the world rankings earlier this year, defeated the Italian 6-1 6-1 in Stuttgart a few weeks ago and was in similarly dominant form as she pounded a series of accurate winners past her opponent.

"I just played her in Stuttgart, but my coach told me this morning the court here is very different from there," Li said. "I just had to concentrate on every point and I did that. I played consistently."

The 28-year-old suffered a wobble in form after making her move up the rankings but has rediscovered some form over the past few weeks, reaching the quarters at Stuttgart and Madrid, and will travel to Paris as a dark horse in the draw.

"After Miami I went back to my home and took a 10 day break - 10 days without tennis," Li said. "After that I felt ready for tennis again. I went to Munich and started training very hard. I'm glad to see the hard work has paid off so far."

Li faces defending champion Alexandra Dulgheru next after she overcame qualifier Tsvetana Pironkova 6-4 7-5. Dulgheru took full advantage of some poor serving from her Bulgarian opponent to book her place in the last four in just under two hours.

No. 6 seed Alona Bondarenko did not fare so well against qualifier Greta Arn. The Ukrainian won the first set in relatively comfortable fashion and looked set to progress. Arn, however, had different ideas and broke her opponent's serve five times in the final two sets to seal a 5-7 6-4 6-4 win.

In the day's opening match, No. 2 seed Caroline Wozniacki exited the tournament after retiring hurt. The world No. 3 lost the first set 6-3 against Zheng Jie and withdraw from her first quarter-final match in four tournaments with a suspected ankle injury.

Meanwhile at the Strasbourg International, Kristina Barrios upset the odds to knockout No. 7 seed Anastasija Sevastova 6-1 7-5. Barrios dominated on her opponents serve, securing five separate breaks of serve as she wrapped up a deserved straight sets victory.

Vania King joins Barrios in the semis after battling past Austria's Anastasia Rodionova 6-4 7-5.
