Bloomfield slams 'rubbish' LTA

British No. 12 Richard Bloomfield hit out at the Lawn Tennis Association after enjoying the most successful week of his career.
Bloomfield came through three rounds of qualifying before going on a giant-killing campaign that saw him get the better of second seed Santiago Giraldo at the Campbell's Hall of Fame Championships.
The 27-year-old, whose stunning run to the semi-finals in Newport saw him soar from a world ranking of 552 into the top 300, has never been included in the LTA's programmes and insists he has no interest in receiving a call from the sport's governing body.
"I have been around too long to waste my time with them," Bloomfield said in The Times.
"Everybody knows the system is rubbish - indeed whatever system they have tried, the situation just gets worse and worse. I didn't expect anyone to get in touch with me - in fact, I don't want them to."
Following reports that the tennis authorities were to investigate "strange" betting patterns on Bloomfield's opening round victory against Christophe Rochus, he maintained his innocence.
"I'm a guy who has never had a bet on anything in my life," he said.
