Andy Murray has revealed he may pull out of the French Open after suffering an ankle injury during his third-round win over Michael Berrer.

The British No. 1 rolled his ankle chasing down a drop shot during the second set, but returned to the court with heavy strapping on his right foot, sealing a 6-2 6-3 6-2 win despite his restricted mobility.

The fourth seed is due to face Viktor Troicki on Monday, but he will not risk his fitness ahead of next month's Wimbledon if his ankle has not fully recovered. However, he has vowed to do everything he can to speed up recovery.

"I've managed to play almost two sets with it but I've just got to wait and see and do all the right things," Murray said. "I'll try to hit some balls tomorrow and that's all I can do just now.

"I don't know if I'll be playing the next match. I don't know if I'll be 100 per cent fit. You never know with these things, they can go away quickly. There's things you can do to recover faster and that's what I'll do."
