Andy Murray's initial fears that his ankle injury may signal the end to his French Open campaign appear to have eased after the Scot looked ahead to his fourth-round clash against Viktor Troicki.

Murray admitted he may have to withdraw after rolling his ankle during his victory over Berrer, but is expected to practise later on Sunday.

Troicki has never won a set off Murray in their three previous meetings, although the pair have never met on clay. However since their last meeting nearly two years ago, Troicki has since climbed to a career-high ranking of 15, and Murray is not underestimating his opponent.

"He's definitely playing better than he was in previous years," Murray said. "He's very solid from both sides, he's got a big first serve and he moves very well.

"He's a very, very consistent player but you can throw in some variety, some different shots, some slices, some higher balls and throw off his rhythm a little bit. He struggled a bit with that in the past when I played him."

Although Troicki pulled out of his doubles match on Saturday after struggling with food poisoning, the Serb believes he has a chance against Murray on clay, especially if the fourth seed is not fully fit.

"We've never played on clay and I think Murray's weakest court is a clay court. If I play well, I think I have a chance," Troicki said.

"If he's injured and cannot run, I'm going to take advantage of that. I want to win my match. He would also do the same if I had the same problem. We are all professionals, so we try to win. Sometimes it's ugly, but that's our job."
