Hardy feeling 'unstoppable' ahead of Lytle war

Dan Hardy has put the possibility of losing his UFC contract to the back of his mind, declaring "I feel unstoppable" ahead of this weekend's main event against Chris Lytle.

Hardy has not tasted success since 2009, losing three fights on the bounce. The Brit has lost to Georges St-Pierre, Carlos Condit and Anthony Johnson, and few fighters stay in the UFC with 0-3 record.

Circumstance dictates that Hardy is more in need of a win than at any other time in his career. In Lytle he faces one of the most experienced welterweights around, capable of winning a bout in several different ways.

Hardy wants a stand-up war, and he is likely to get one against Lytle. But he won't be throwing each punch fearing it might be his last in the UFC.

"It does put pressure on me because obviously I love fighting with the UFC," Hardy was quoted as saying by 5th Round. "It's unusual territory for me. I've never been in this situation before. I had two back-to-back losses a while back in my career and that was a very difficult situation to be in.

"There is definitely pressure, but I've just got to kind of go with the flow. I can't force it too much. If I think about it too much then it's going to get me down and it's going to stop me performing at my best.

"Right now I feel like I'm unstoppable and that's exactly what I need to feel going into this fight. So the thought of the three losses is more of a motivational tool than anything else."
