Brock Lesnar is unofficially being tentatively tipped for a return to the Octagon at UFC 140 in December after he declared himself 100 per cent fit following another bout of diverticulitis.

Lesnar, who lost his heavyweight title to Cain Velasquez at UFC 121, has been sidelined ever since by diverticulitis, which caused the former WWE star to undergo major surgery. He had to pull out of a fight with Junior Dos Santos as a result, and has taken his time regaining his health.

Now back in training, Lesnar is beginning to talk about his future with confidence once more, stating he feels as fit as he ever has since joining the UFC. It is expected his return fight will come against Frank Mir, against whom Lesnar holds a 1-1 record, and the former champ had a message for any potential rival.

"I feel like a new man, healthy, strong, I feel like I used to feel," Lesnar stated in a video released through his sponsors. "Right now, one day at a time for me. My future, I believe there's still a bright future in the UFC for me.

"My health is 100 percent, I feel great, my motivation is there and I want to get on the map again. I want to become the UFC heavyweight champion again, and I believe I will do that."

UFC 140 will take place in Toronto, and Lesnar would be the type of big name on which to sell tickets.
