Ben Henderson has confidently predicted he can beat Clay Guida any way he wants at UFC on Fox this weekend.

Henderson and Guida square off in what many consider to be the battle for No. 1 contender status in the UFC lightweight division. The winner will have every right to expect the next shot at Frankie Edgar's crown.

Henderson is the former WEC champion, beaten only by Anthony Pettis in his last 13 fights. His most recent outing against Jim Miller, a unanimous decision victory, was arguably the finest performance of his career.

Guida has also never been better, defeating Pettis in his last fight to extend his recent record to 4-0.

Both men bring excellent wrestling capabilities, but that is where the comparison ends for Henderson. Blessed with imaginative striking and a slick ground game, the 27-year-old is confident he controls the fight in all areas.

"With Clay, I think I can do pretty much what I want to," Henderson told USA Today.

"If he wants to stay standing, I can take him down or I can keep it standing, because I think I'm a better stand-up fighter than he is.

"If he wants to take it the ground, I think I'm a better wrestler, I can avoid the takedown or if I want to take it to the ground, I can dictate where the fight takes place at."
