UFC president Dana White insists he would not have picked any other fight to headline the UFC's first event on Fox, even if his whole roster was available.

Speaking at Wednesday's press conference, White labelled the heavyweight contest between Cain Velasquez and Junior Dos Santos the most important in the promotion's history. And with names such as Jon Jones, Anderson Silva and Georges St-Pierre all on his books, White insists Velasquez v Dos Santos tops the lot.

"This is without a doubt the biggest fight in UFC history," White said. "Millions of people will see the UFC who have never seen the sport before. It's the biggest moment in the history of the sport, and these are the two guys you want going out there to fight.

"The world is about to get the chance to see how good these two fighters are. Give me a fully fit roster of fighters, I still would have picked these guys.

"It could go 15 seconds, God forbid, or it could go 25 minutes. Whatever happens, it'll be an awesome fight."

Dos Santos has been deemed the underdog, both on a cardio level and on a wrestling basis, but the Brazilian insists Saturday's main event won't last the distance.

"Cain always comes forward and I always come forward, it's going to be a great fight and a war," Dos Santos said. "In this case, Cain Velasquez is the best heavyweight now, but I want to change this on Saturday.

"I'm ready to fight, doesn't matter where. I will try to keep it standing, if it does stay standing, it will be a huge show for all the fans. I'm going to try to knock him out. I don't think it will go five rounds. I've trained for it, but it will finish before."

The champion, Velasquez, insists he is expecting for it to go the distance, saying: "I'm planning to take this fight everywhere, Dos Santos is a great boxer and I'm ready for that, but I plan to take it everywhere else too.

"I'm expecting it to go five rounds, that's what I've trained for."
