Nobody boasts a bigger title claim than me - Bisping

Michael Bisping does not need to champion his cause for a UFC middleweight title shot these days, because the rankings are more-or-less doing it for him.

Bisping is heading into battle with Jason Miller this weekend, in a TUF 14 Finale main event that could go five rounds. The Brit is the favourite, and victory takes his recent record to 4-0.

By looking at the Sherdog middleweight rankings, it is easy to see why Bisping feels it is time for his crack at Anderson Silva. Numbers two, three, five and six - better known as Chael Sonnen, Yushin Okami, Nate Marquardt and Demian Maia - have all tried and failed to beat Silva already.

Number four, Mark Munoz, is on a similar 4-0 run to Bisping and is the only man to rival the Brit's claims, while No. 7 Brian Stann is licking his wounds after a battering from Sonnen.

Very simply, Bisping believes his case is almost becoming undeniable, although he expects to have to beat one more opponent after Miller.

"If you look at most of those guys, they've had their shots and they've been beaten soundly," Bisping explained to ESPN. "Brian Stann's out the picture, he lost to Sonnen badly. He looked like a bloody jiu-jitsu white belt. His grappling was terrible.

"Nate Marquardt? He's yesterday's news. Mark Munoz? Apparently he's fighting Sonnen. I thought I'd be fighting Munoz, and then the winner of that would face the winner of Silva v Sonnen.

"After I beat Miller, I'm gonna have to beat somebody else. If I do that, I can't see why I won't be fighting Anderson mid-to-late 2012."
