White considers Condit v Diaz rematch

UFC president Dana White has confessed Carlos Condit may have to beat Nick Diaz again before he gets to fight for Georges St-Pierre's welterweight crown.
Condit claimed the interim title in the 170lb division with a unanimous decision win over Diaz at UFC 143, cementing his place as the No. 1 contender. Using skill, patience and tactical mastery Condit managed to frustrate Diaz - who now claims he will quit the sport.
Naturally the next step for Condit is St-Pierre, but the champion is recovering from a torn ACL and does not expect to be fighting again until November. That would represent a long layoff for Condit.
An option for White would be to rematch Condit and Diaz, giving the latter the chance to avenge what he feels is an unjust result.
"It's crazy, but … I was thinking about it after the fight," White said. "People are bitching, and people think that was close, we could do that fight again before GSP comes back," said the president.
"It depends on Carlos, too. Carlos has got to say - and Nick's got to say, 'I want to fight him again'."
White also rejected suggestions that he was disappointed that Diaz did not win. Pre-fight there had been plenty of juice surrounding a Diaz v St-Pierre grudge match, after Diaz angered the champion by accusing him of faking injury, but Condit spoiled the potential clash.
"I'm not disappointed at all," White said. "Georges St-Pierre and Carlos Condit will be a big fight, I guarantee you. I know [St-Pierre] wanted Diaz, and he really wanted that Diaz fight bad, but it's not going to be Diaz, so he better get angry with Carlos Condit or focused on Carlos Condit or whatever it is he needs to do."
