Angry Dana White lambasts 'moron' Overeem

UFC president Dana White has reacted to news that Alistair Overeem failed a drug test, and the picture does not look good for Overeem.
The No. 1 heavyweight contender found out a random test conducted earlier in the week came back outside the acceptable limits under Nevada State Athletic Commission regulations, so unless Overeem has an explanation or a clean B sample, he is out of his title fight against Junior Dos Santos at UFC 146.
"I am beyond pissed about this. I'm so f***ing mad right now I can't even begin… The worst part is that he sat in front of us and lied to us," White said.
"How f***ing stupid do you have to be? Seriously dumb. Anybody who's using [performance-enhancing drugs] right now is an absolute f***ing moron.
"It's beyond - what's the word I'm looking for - it's beyond belief. It's beyond comprehension. You're an absolute moron, a brain-dead absolute f***ing dummy. It goes beyond a guy have any common sense whatsoever."
Overeem's potential absence leaves a gaping hole in what was shaping up to be the biggest card of the year. Cain Velasquez is scheduled to fight Frank Mir in the co-main event, but it would almost be a shame to cherry-pick one of the fighters out of that bout, such is the quality of the fight currently scheduled.
Asked what the plan is if Overeem cannot fight Dos Santos, White stated: "There is no Plan B."
Mir has already put his hand up for the title shot, saying: "I would be excited if given the opportunity to compete for the UFC's heavyweight title at UFC 146 if the reports released earlier today regarding Alistair Overeem failing his A sample drug test are true.
"I have been fortunate to be able to fight in the UFC for more than a decade, and it is a dream of mine to become the first three-time heavyweight champion in the UFC. Being able to fight Junior Dos Santos would put me one step closer to that dream."
