Machida handed Bader test in August

Lyoto Machida's path back to a light-heavyweight title shot will begin at UFC on Fox 4 after he was paired with Ryan Bader.

Machida lost to champion Jon Jones in his last outing, but he showed enough in his nine-minute battle with Jones to suggest he might be worthy of a rematch in the future.

In order to do that the Brazilian must overcome Bader, a man riding a two-fight win streak following his latest outing against Rampage Jackson.

Blessed with an offensive wrestling base Bader will pose similar questions to Machida as he did to Jackson, two men who both love to strike. However, he is likely to have more difficulty getting his hands on Machida, a man who is excellent at fighting from range.

UFC on Fox 4 is scheduled for August 4 in Los Angeles.
