Cerrone: 'You want to fight motherf***er? Let's go'
Donald Cerrone has vowed to stand and trade with Anthony Pettis at UFC on Fox 6 this weekend, insisting he will not take the fight to the mat.
Cerrone and Pettis are two of the best strikers in the UFC lightweight division and the winner of Saturday's bout will propel himself extremely close to a title shot.
Both men have skilled ground games, with Pettis boasting an active guard and Cerrone capable of several submissions, but the Cowboy is adamant he will not shy away from a kickboxing showdown with his rival.
"Have you ever seen me lay and pray?" Cerrone asked. "I've never once laid and prayed. My gameplan against [Nate] Diaz should have been take him down and do the same thing and I didn't.
"I have a feeling you want to stand and fight motherf***er? Let's go. And you can quote that."
Cerrone v Pettis appears on a card headlined by the flyweight title collision between Demetrious Johnson and John Dodson. Meanwhile, in the co-main event, Rampage Jackson meets Glover Teixeira.
