UFC president Dana White was far from happy with England's Che Mills at Saturday's UFC London card, claiming the Brit "quit and gave up" against Matt Riddle.

Mills dropped a split decision to the American in the welterweight division after seeing his takedown defence exposed by Riddle over three rounds.

However, with less than a minute left in the third, an opening did present itself to Mills, who suddenly found himself in top position, able to rain down punishment on Riddle. Instead, the Brit stood off, wasting precious time as the ref stood Riddle back up.

"I'm pretty sure there was 39 seconds left. F***ing go crazy!" White said in quotes reported by MMA Mania.

"Drop punches, elbows - go absolutely ape sh*t! If you're f***ing tired in the last 39 seconds of a fight you can win, and it can take you to the next level, then go get a [different] job.

"Che Mills should have went ape sh*t on him and kept him on his back because he finally got that top position. That was one of the weirdest things I've ever seen. Almost like he gave up, quit and walked away."
