ESPN.co.uk understands that Paul Daley has been offered the opportunity to join a "world champion" professional boxing stable following his exit from the UFC.

UFC president Dana White cut Daley from the organisation following his actions at UFC 113, where he struck Josh Koscheck after the bell had sounded.

The Quebec Athletic Commission is investigating the incident, which took place in a fight that had both a title shot and a lucrative coaching role on TUF 12 at stake.

If they choose to penalise Daley, he could find his MMA licence suspended for between six months and a year.

Any such punishment would complete a remarkable fall from grace for Daley, who had been tipped as a potential first British UFC champion.
