Hardy responds to claims he'll get 'grapple-f***ed'

Dan Hardy admits he enjoys reading negative opinion about himself in the build-up to a fight, after it was claimed Carlos Condit would embarrass him on the mat at UFC 120.

Hardy recently stated ahead of his October 16 bout in London that losing on home soil would be the lowest moment of his career. And judging by the mass opinion of fans across MMA forums, The Outlaw is set to receive a lesson from Condit in the art of jiu-jitsu.

Such predictions make Hardy laugh, particularly due to the fact that he has not stopped working his wrestling and jiu-jitsu since losing to Georges St-Pierre seven months ago. The Brit never wants to experience such a defeat again, and he questioned what fans think he has been doing during his time away from the Octagon.

"I've read I'll be grapple-f***ed," Hardy told ESPN. "I don't mind these comments. I didn't have much of an offensive against Georges St-Pierre.

"But I don't know if people think I'm gonna go home, sit on my ass and play on the Xbox. I know where I fell short and I know what I've got to do to fix it.

"My strength will always be punching people in the face, but I want the option to choke people out, and I have that option now. The day I do it, people will be very surprised."
