BJ Penn and Jon Fitch will renew acquaintances in July after UFC president Dana White revealed the pair will rematch at UFC 132.

Penn and Fitch fought to a controversial draw at UFC 127, with many observers believing Fitch had done enough to win the fight with a dominant final round.

The result had led to rumours that Penn might retire, with the Prodigy confessing he felt fortunate not to lose the bout, but now he has a second chance in what is still considered a collision to determine the welterweight division's No. 1 contender.

UFC president Dana White revealed a rematch scheduled for UFC 132 on July 4 had been "verbally agreed", and he commented: "Both fighters will look to keep it out of the hands of the judges this time."

Also fighting on what already appears to be an intriguing UFC 132 card are lightweight contenders Evan Dunham and George Sotiropoulos.

And Sotiropoulos' conqueror on the UFC 127 card, Dennis Siver, will appear on the same card at UFC 132, taking on Matt Wiman.
