UFC set to make main events five-round battles - White

Dana White has revealed all main events will soon be five-round encounters.
Currently only title fights go 25 minutes, but now the main event on each UFC card will feature the two extra rounds. UFC president White has been considering the idea for a while, but now he has given a loose timeline regarding its introduction.
White revealed he had planned to start the new ruling at UFC 131 when Brock Lesnar meets Junior Dos Santos, but he confessed he had not given either fighter enough warning.
"We were actually going to start it with Brock Lesnar and Junior Dos Santos, but we had already made the fight," White said at the UFC 129 Q&A.
"We had already made the fight so it's kind of hard to go back to those guys after you already make the fight and say, 'You know what, this is going to be five [rounds] instead of three.'
"We're very close to doing it."
